Are you suffering from Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain?
We may be able to help! The Body Works! has partnered with a research team from UT Houston and University of South Carolina in a National Institutes of Health study and they are looking for participants who are suffering from chronic musculoskeletal pain like back, neck, or joint pain. We are looking for participants who are suffering from Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain (e.g., back, neck and/or hip pain).
This study will evaluate an Auricular (ear) Point Acupressure (no needles) self-management program compared to pain education to address chronic musculoskeletal pain. You may be eligible if you meet the following criteria:
- Adults 18 years or older
- Receive any pain management for chronic musculoskeletal pain (back, neck, shoulder, hand, hip, knee, foot)
- Pain has persisted for at least 3 months OR at least half the days in the past 6 months
- Pain is 4 or greater on a scale of 0-10 (0 no pain to 10 worst pain imaginable)
We ask participants to commit a 4-week treatment period and 6 months of follow-up to this study. The research is provided at no cost. Eligible participants will be compensated for participating in the research study, receive a free acupressure kit, and chronic pain relief app. If you are interested in learning more about our research study, please call us at 713- 500-2214 or email at ruralpainapa@uth.tmc.edu
